Rosy In Winter

{Boots: DSW -- Tights: H&M -- Dress: Modcloth -- Belt: Forever 21 -- Jacket: Modcloth -- Purse: Cambridge Satchel Company}

All the winter excitement is now over. The holidays, the Disney vacation, and the visits from my family. I woke up this morning, after sleeping well past 11 AM, and ate a bowl of cereal all alone. The silence was comforting though, after all the hustle and bustle I've been going through. I read my lovely Dan Brown novel, anyone here read The Lost Symbol? So good! Then I cleaned a bit, which always seem to help put me at ease, the tediousness of it all is very welcoming. I seem to get some of my best thinking time done while cleaning. And today I realized I really want to learn how to cook! I can pop waffles in the toaster and make a mean grilled cheese, but that's about the extent of my capabilities. So my question to you guys is where does one find simple but delicious recipes? Is that something you just pop into google? Or perhaps I should go out and buy a cooking book, have any recommendations for that?

In another news I pulled out my Cambridge satchel yesterday, I forgot how lovely it is! Seriously one of the best birthday gifts I have ever received! Thanks darling!

Love the floral! I use allrecipes.com all the time...endless recipes from simple to complex! I also use my Taste of Home cookbook a lot. Lots of very simple, tasty recipes there!

If you want to eat something with real taste, I recommend vege! I sure have started to enjoy food and flavors much more since I stopped eating meat. I realize now how dull the taste of beef actually is.

I assume that Finnish recipe sites won't help you that much. I'm still sure you'd love vegetables with coconut milk! It's super easy and if you spice it up well, it's yummy!:-)

And I love your dress btw!

That satchel bag is awesome! I want one like it. Maybe one day...
As for learning to cook. I use allrecipes.com and use the recipe finder. Then I type in what ingredients I have and surf what recipes come up. Plenty of them turn out to be really nice and easy and there's a comments section at the bottom of each recipe so you can read tips from people who've made it.

Ahhh! That 4th photo is gorrrgeous. Love!!! I love all of your bright colors on a blue winter's day. It really livens up everything around you :). It is sad that the excitement of the holidays are over, but it'll soon be here again before we know it. I need to clean so seriously bad. Baking is my thing. I make some of the best brownies, cupcakes, and buckeyes you'll ever eat in your life. (and you can count on that one) ;) haha!
